(CQNEWS) Chongqing Industrial Park of China Electronic Technology Corporation launched its foundation in Xiyong Microelectronic Industrial Park yesterday morning. The long expected six-inch chip project entered the construction stage formally.

Xiyong Microelectronic Industrial Park is a core IT industry development base in Chongqing within the next five to ten years and one of the areas with the most active IT development in west China as well. Six billion US dollars will be invested to build chip product lines there in the coming five years, two for the six-inch chip, eight-inch chip and twelve-inch chip production respectively. By then, it will be constructed to be the most important base for integrate circuit industry of China and a national outsourcing base for software and IT industry with a sales volume of 50 billion yuan.
