2008 "Charming Chongqing,Glamorous Three Gorges" Exchange Activity starts

The 2008 Economy and Culture Exchange Activity on Charming Chongqing, Glamorous Three Gorges is held on September 1-9. Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chongqing Municipal Government warmly welcomed the delegation from Taiwan yesterday.
During the activity, the delegation, with 65 famous figures from all walks of life in Taiwan, will visit the city planning and construction, anti-war museums and Dazu Rock Carvings, investigate the economic and technical development zones and the Three Gorges and participate in the various exchange activities about economy and culture, in order to strengthen the link and cooperation on economy and culture between Chongqing and Taiwan.
In the recent two years, the exchange on economy, trade and culture between two regions has become more frequent. By the end of last year, Chongqing has witnessed 160,000 person-times from Taiwan and 15,000 person-times Chongqing citizens to Taiwan.
