(CQNEWS) South China Karst is inscribed as a new site on UNESCO's World Heritage List, the World Heritage Committee announced on June 27 in Christchurch of New Zealand. Covering an area of 146,000 hectares, South China Karst mainly lies in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi provinces and Chongqing Municipality. Wulong Karst in Chongqing includes three Karst parts of Natural Sanqiao Bridges, Furong Karst Caves, and Houping Tiankeng erosive Karst Hole. It is reported that there are 36 sites in China inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List besides South China Karst. |
