Chongqing saw a faster growth of local revenue than the budget in the first half year of 2007.
The local revenue reached in the first half RMB 32.687 billion, accounting for 55.5% of the 2007 budget, up by 40.5%. Of the figure, the general budget revenue was RMB 19.002 billion, accounting for 57.6% of the 2007 budget, up by 22.9% and the fund revenue reached RMB 13.685 billion, or 52.9% of the 2007 budget, up by 75.5%. The municipal revenue reached RMB 16.862 billion, which is 50.2% of the budget, up by 36.2% while the revenue of the districts and counties was RMB 15.825 billion, up by 45.5%.
The total local expenditure in the first half was RMB 35.271 billion, accounting for 36.8% of the 2007 budget, up by 30.2%, of which the municipal expenditure was RMB 12.902 billion, up by 24.6%, and the expenditure of the districts and counties, RMB 22.369 billion, up by 33.6%.
