Chongqing Municipal Government | Preferential and Incentive Policies on Developing the Tourism in Chongqing

Chongqing Municipal People's Government has issued the preferential and incentive policies on developing the tourism in Chongqing in order to catch the opportunities, face the challenges and fully promote and expand the tourism market in Chongqing.

I. Preferential policies on tax, fees and tickets

1. Tax: "Levy first, refund later" is applied to the travel agencies, cruiser enterprises, tourist automobile companies, A-grade scenic spots, starred hotels, tourist guide enterprises, key manufacturers for tourist commodities etc.

2. Fees: the cruiser enterprises shall be free from management fee of waterway and land transport during July 9, 2008 - December 31, 2008. The flights shall be free from the fees for landing, luggage security, scheduled and non-scheduled flights, elevating platform trucks, belt convey, cargo compartment cleaning etc. through June 2008 to August 2008.

II. Award granted to overseas tourist agencies, to international tourist agencies in Chongqing and to planned cruisers

2. To Planned Cruisers: the domestic cruisers for the Three Gorges will be given fuel allowance, i.e. RMB 60, 000 to the large-size cruisers and RMB 50, 000 to the medium-size cruisers.
