Chongqing Municipal Government | Chongqing Kept Fast Growth in Foreign Trade(Jan. to Jul.)

According to the statistics by Chongqing Administration of Customs, Chongqing has achieved the export and import of USD 5.7 billion in total during this January to July, a y-o-y rise of 45% and 18.6 percentage points higher than the national rise.

1.Major export kept favorable growth.

2. Proportion of imported primary products rose. The proportion of primary products imported by Chongqing reached 20.6%, higher than 16.7% in the last year. Please see Table 3 for details.

3.Rise of import was faster than that of export in general trade and the processing trade rose remarkably.

4.The value of waterway-transported goods ranked the first and that of air-transported goods rose faster.

5. Yangshan and Waigang were the important customs for entry and exit. The places of entry for Chongqing's import were Yangshan, Waigang, Nantong, Wusong, Chongqing Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport, and the value of such goods that entered China through those customs accounted for 81% of Chongqing's total import value (52.7% of the above mentioned goods entered China through Yangshan and Waigang Customs). 84.5% of Chongqing's imported goods cleared customs in Chongqing. The places of exit for Chongqing's exported goods were Waigang, Yangshan, Wusong, Beilun, Pingxiang, Shekou, and the value of such goods that leaved China from those ports accounted for 79.5% of Chongqing's total export value (65.3% of the above mentioned goods leaved China through Yangshan and Waigang Customs). 55.9% of Chongqing's exported goods cleared customs in Chongqing.
