Chongqing College of Architecture and Technology is a full-time regular higher education institution under the supervision of the Chongqing Municipal Government. The college currently has over 13,000 students and more than 600 full-time faculty members. There are 46 vocational majors, which are planned and developed around Chongqing's "3+3+6+18" system of modern manufacturing clusters. Professional clusters such as intelligent construction, equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicle technology, big data technology, health management, and art design have been established, and 10 experimental and training centers, including an industrial robotics center, have been jointly built with enterprises.

The college vigorously promotes its international education strategy and has signed cooperation agreements with more than 30 universities in countries such as the UK, France, Germany, Hungary, the ROK, and Thailand to carry out international exchanges. It has established the Chongqing Sino-German Future Factory Research Institute and successfully launched a Sino-foreign cooperative education program with the ROK's Yonhap University. The college has established two English-language journals, organized more than 10 international conferences, and trained over 100 long- and short-term international students.

The college’s achievements have been widely recognized by society after nearly 40 years of development, and it has developed into a leading higher vocational institution in Chongqing, a high-level higher vocational college with Chinese characteristics and a professional construction program in Chongqing, and one of the first batch of satellite parks of the Grand Creation Valley in Western Chongqing.

In the past three years, the enrollment rate of new students and the employment rate of graduates have consistently ranked among the top institutions in Chongqing. Students have participated in various vocational skills competitions and innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, receiving over 220 provincial- and ministerial-level awards, including 15 national-level awards. They have also received over 700 provincial- and ministerial-level awards in cultural and sports activities.
