Chongqing Technology and Business Institute
Chongqing Technology and Business Institute is a public full-time higher education university established by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is a national backbone vocational college designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, and a construction unit of the “High-Level Vocational Schools and Specialty Construction Plan with Chinese Characteristics (Double High-Level Plan)”.
CQTBI has three campuses in Hechuan District and Jiulongpo District, covering a total area of 220 acres. There are currently 1,043 faculty members, including 75 with professor and other senior professional titles, 200 with associate professor, senior engineer, senior laboratory technician and other deputy senior professional titles, and 718 with doctoral and master degrees. Two professional teacher teams, including “Software Technology” and “Digital Media Technology”, have been selected as the “National Vocational Education Teaching Innovation Team”. Six of them have been awarded the title of National Technical Expert, and one has been selected as a renowned teacher in the New Era Vocational School by the Chinese Ministry of Education. There are currently over 17,400 full-time regular higher education (vocational) students on campus.
CQTBI currently has 2 countries of origin for international students (Thailand and Laos), and has enrolled more than 100 degree international students and over 300 non-degree international students, including 10 who have received the Chongqing Mayor’s Scholarship for Foreign Students. Furthermore, CQTBI continues to carry out the Chongqing Mayor Scholarship Program for International Students in China and is committed to establishing sound management systems and quality assurance mechanisms for international students, strengthening cultural identity among international students, promoting assimilation management for international students, and showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese culture for international students. At the same time, CQTBI vigorously implements Global Vision, a student overseas exchange program, through setting up an international platform for industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation to select excellent students with outstanding academic performance and skills to participate in overseas research and internship employment, and broaden students’ horizons.
CQTBI actively builds an international platform for the integration of industry and education, continuously assisting Chinese-funded enterprises in “going global” to cultivate local practitioners. CQTBI has successively established the “Sino-Thailand Silk Road College” and the “Sino-Laos Silk Road College” at the Don Mueang Institute of Technology in Thailand and the Babasa Vocational and Technical College in Laos, focusing on academic and non-academic education, customized training, course resources, exchange activities, and other content. CQTBI continuously explores new models of talent cultivation of “Chinese+Vocational skills”, forming multi-level and three-dimensional international industry-education integration cooperation models such as “University-University” and “University-Enterprise-University”.
