Yangtze Normal University
Located in Fuling District of Chongqing, Yangtze Normal University is a full-time undergraduate higher education institution, which boasts fine traditions of teacher education and distinctive characteristics as an application-oriented university. Founded in 1931, Yangtze Normal University has a profound school-running history. The campus covers an area of more than 1700 mu, and the environment is elegant.
The university now has 21 secondary teaching units, more than 23,000 undergraduate students and 56 undergraduate majors, including 3 state-level first-class major construction sites, 12 municipal-level first-class major construction sites, and 1 Sino-foreign educational cooperation program.
The university has more than 1,300 full-time teachers, including nearly 600 teachers with senior professional titles, more than 400 teachers with doctoral degrees, one state-level candidate for the "New Century National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project", and more than 100 provincial-level and ministerial-level talents, such as Chongqing academic and technical leaders and members of the Chongqing Talents Program.
Adhering to the principle of opening up, Yangtze Normal University has signed inter-university cooperation and exchange agreements with 39 foreign universities and institutions from 12 countries. The University has sent more than 500 teachers and students abroad for academic visits and exchanges, and enrolled more than 600 overseas students from 30 countries. Against this backdrop, benefits from international exchange platforms such as the Belt and Road Malaysia-China Cultural Exchange Center and the China-Poland Cultural Research Center have become increasingly prominent.
