Hongyadong Food Street

Hongyadong Food Street is a folk-custom food street. Hongyadong Scenic Area is a large commercial complex in Chongqing known for its distinctive layered architecture and commercial landscape. In addition to its iconic stilted houses built along the cliff, three of the “Twelve Scenic Views of Chongqing”—“Dripping Greenery of the Hongya Cliff,” “Confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers,” and “Sunset over the Jialing River”—can also be enjoyed within the scenic area. It is also a gathering place for snacks, bringing together hundreds of traditional delicacies from Chongqing and other parts of China. Popular choices include Handmade Hot and Sour Sweet Potato Noodles, Glutinous Rice Balls, Tanghulu (crispy sugar-coated fruit on a stick), Chilled Rice Jelly with Brown Sugar Syrup, Boiled Duck Blood Curd in Chili Sauce, and Crispy and Spicy Shredded Beef.
