Chongqing Happy Valley is located at No. 29 Jinyu Avenue in Lijia, Liangjiang New Area. The project was launched in Chongqing in 2014 and opened to the public on July 8, 2017. It is the seventh park in China’s Happy Valley chain and the first built around a mountainous landscape.

Covering 480,000 square meters, the park uses the natural hillside terrain to create six themed areas: Happy Time, Fantasy Island, Hurricane Bay, Dinosaur Forest, Old Chongqing and Valley Mine Town. More than 100 rides and attractions include the Jungle Dragon wooden roller coaster, Wing Coaster, Eye of Chongqing Ferris wheel and Return to Jurassic.

In 2017, the park was named one of Chongqing’s Top Ten Tourist Destinations of the Year and received an award as the year’s most influential theme park in the city’s urban development rankings. It was designated a national 4A-rated tourist attraction in November 2019.
