Chongqing Shizhu Tengzigou National Wetland Park lies around the headwaters of the Longhe River in northeastern Shizhu County. Covering 670.84 hectares, it features eight signature sights: Twin Locks at Rainbow Bridge, Soaring Ram’s Horn, Lion Looking Back, Dancing Wild Crane, Silver Curtain over Nanxi, Swirling Waters at Swallow’s Nest, Cliffs of the Ancient Stronghold and Bird Cave at Immortal Rock.

Mountain streams, floodplains, reservoirs, ponds and rice paddies form an intricate wetland mosaic, framed by a striking blend of forest and waterside scenery. This natural setting is enriched by the area’s long history and distinctive wetland culture.

At its heart, the park protects the headwaters of the Longhe River, a primary tributary of the Yangtze, and the biodiversity of the Wuling Mountains. It brings conservation and habitat restoration together with scientific research, environmental education and immersive nature experiences.
