A short video has gone viral for showing an astonishingly fast jump rope performance by three young athletes who recently clinched victory at the Asian Jump Rope Championships 2026 in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province.

In the Double Dutch Speed Sprint event, the team achieved an incredible 496 repetitions in 60 seconds, setting a world record.

The trio of Leng Haoran, Ou Xutao, and Xu Chengxi hail from Gangcheng Primary School in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area and are trained by the local Shengxingqianli Sports Club.

"Jump rope is not about the speed of one person, but the synchronization of three," explained their coach, Fan Ziqi, going on to say that the team dedicated three years to their preparation, training an average of two hours daily. In the two months leading up to the competition, they intensified their regimen to six hours every day.

In addition to these three athletes, four other students from the same primary school were selected to represent China in this competition.

Fan credits the students' outstanding performances to the school's structured program and consistent training. Jump rope is a key part of the school's physical education, with weekly classes, daily jump rope sessions during recess, and an annual jump rope festival every April. The school has specialized jump rope instructors and a training system that develops from class teams to school teams, making jump rope a staple activity on campus.
