STOPIA was developed from the former Jinzishan Warehouse, one of the first buildings in Chongqing to be designated as outstanding historic architecture. Located at No. 60 Hongjin Road, the warehouse was built in the 1970s and has a total floor area of approximately 35,000 square meters.

Nurtured by time, the stone has found new life. The warehouse itself is built primarily of stone, with its exterior walls and columns constructed from locally quarried rectangular stone blocks. This architectural style is exceptionally rare not only in Chongqing but across China. Its distinctive historical character has attracted considerable attention and appreciation from cultural practitioners and enthusiasts.
