Located in the bustling heart of Chongqing’s Shapingba District, Three Gorges Square has a cross-shaped layout and covers a total area of 80,000 square meters. It consists of four sections: the Three Gorges Landscape Garden, the Celebrity Sculpture Garden, the Green Art Garden, and the Commercial Pedestrian Street. The Three Gorges Landscape Garden serves as the centerpiece of the square.It captures the grandeur of the Three Gorges Dam, showcases the picturesque scenery of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and reflects the rich cultural heritage of Chongqing.

In April 2022, the Three Gorges Square Commercial Area was included on the Proposed List for Chongqing’s Second Batch of MunicipalNighttime Culture and Tourism Consumption Clusters.

Since January 2001, Three Gorges Square has successively received several national honors. It wasdesignated a “National Demonstration Street for No Counterfeit Goods Across a Hundred Cities and Ten Thousand Stores” by six central ministries and commissions, including the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the then National Ministry of Internal Trade. It was also recognized as a “Commercial Street with Chinese Characteristics” by the China Federation of Urban Commercial Outlets Construction Administration and the China Pedestrian Street Working Committee.
