Application Materials
Basic Documents
(1) Passport
Original passport valid for at least six months with blank visa pages, and one photocopy of the passport's photo/information page.
(2) Visa Application Form and Photo
One duly completed Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China, with one recently taken, front-facing, color (light-colored background), bareheaded, passport-sized photo affixed to the designated area on the form.
(3) Supporting Documents of Legal Residence or Stay (applicable to visa applicants outside their home country)
If you are applying for a visa outside your country of nationality, you need to provide the original and photocopies of a valid document or visa that proves your legal stay, residence, work, or study in the country where you are applying.
(4) Original Chinese Passport or Original Chinese Visa (applicable to those who once held Chinese nationality and later acquired foreign nationality)
If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you need to provide your original Chinese passport and photocopies of the passport photo/information page; if you have obtained a Chinese visa before and are applying for a visa with a newly renewed foreign passport, you need to provide your original foreign passport photo/information page and photocopies of the Chinese visa you have obtained (if the name recorded in the new passport is different from that in the original one, you need to also provide a document proving the name change issued by relevant officials).






Tips
(1) The invitation letter may be a fax, photocopy or printout, but the consular officer may require the applicant to provide the original invitation letter;
(2) If necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to provide other supporting documents or supplementary materials or request the applicant to attend an interview;
(3) The consular officer decides whether to issue a visa and the visa's validity period, duration of stay and number of entries based on the applicant's specific circumstances;
