Application Materials and Requirements
(1) Foreigners who enter China without a visa and need to stay beyond the visa exemption period for non-diplomatic or official reasons shall submit supporting documents in accordance with relevant regulations and a stay permit for the corresponding period may be issued;
(2) If foreign seamen and their accompanying family members need to leave the port city where the ship is docked, they shall submit a seamen's passport or other international travel documents and a letter of guarantee from the shipping agency, as well as confirmed train/ship tickets with specific departure dates and seat reservations or other supporting documents related to the reason for their stay, and a stay permit with a stay period not exceeding 30 days may be issued;
(3) Individuals who have renounced Chinese nationality with approval and need to stay in China shall submit a certificate of renunciation of Chinese nationality, a foreign passport or other international travel documents and relevant supporting documents for stay. A stay permit with a stay period not exceeding 180 days may be issued;
(4) Foreigners whose residence permit is terminated and need to continue to stay for humanitarian reasons shall submit their residence permit and relevant supporting documents. A stay permit with a stay period not exceeding 30 days may be issued;
(5) Foreign infants born in China who need to stay in China shall submit the infant's birth certificate, passport and the passports of both parents. A stay permit corresponding to the stay period of his/her parents may be issued.
