(1) For foreigners staying in a hotel, the hotel shall register his/her accommodation. For foreigners residing somewhere other than a hotel, they or their host shall register the accommodation with the local public security organs within 24 hours after check-in at their place of residence;

(2) When a foreigner exchanges a new entry-exit document, applies for a new visa or a residence permit, or changes his/her residential address, he/she shall promptly update his/her accommodation registration at the public security organ in his/her place of residence.
