From May 28 to May 31, the 2026 Chongqing University Students’ Wushu (martial arts) Competition, hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and organized by Yangtze Normal University, was held as scheduled. The event attracted 496 athletes from 41 universities across the city. The Wushu team of our university, led by Coach Zeng Weigang, traveled to the competition venue to compete alongside talented martial arts athletes from universities across Chongqing.

On the competition field, our university’s athletes performed with fluid, seamless movements and strong momentum, calmly completing various wushu routines. They fully demonstrated the resilience and determined spirit of students from Chongqing Medical University. After intense competition, the university’s wushu team achieved excellent results in multiple events.

This competition served as a comprehensive assessment of the results of the Wushu team’s diligent daily training. The team members used martial arts as a means of self-cultivation and competition as a way to enhance training, continuously learning and improving through exchange and mutual practice. Looking ahead, the university’s Wushu team will continue to train diligently, carry forward traditional Wushu culture, and strive to surpass themselves and achieve even greater success in future competitions.
