The Baijusi Yangtze River Bridge connects Dadukou and Ba’nan districts across the Yangtze River. It is a key component of Chongqing’s Seventh East-West Arterial and an important river-crossing project for Chongqing Rail Transit Line 18. Construction began on December 29, 2015. The main structure was completed on September 1, 2021, and the bridge opened to traffic on January 24, 2022. The route extends from Chenjiage Interchange in the west, crosses the Yangtze River and reaches Taiyanggang Interchange in the east. The entire route is 3.687 kilometers long, including a 1.384-kilometer bridge section. The upper deck carries an eight-lane urban arterial road, with four lanes in each direction and a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The lower deck accommodates a double-track urban rail line with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The project involved a total investment of RMB2.374 billion.
