Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge

The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge begins in Yuzhong District, crosses the Jialing River beside Hongyadong and reaches Jiangbeizui in the former Jiangbei District (now part of Liangjiang New Area). On the Yuzhong Peninsula, it connects through a tunnel to the northern abutment of the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge. Carrying both road traffic and Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6, the bridge has a main span of 312 meters. It is a single-plane cable-stayed bridge featuring a steel truss girder and a shuttle-shaped tower. Together with the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge, it forms the landmark Chongqing Twin River Bridges. Construction began at the end of 2009, and the bridge opened in 2015. In recent years, it has become one of Chongqing’s best-known and most photographed bridge landmarks.
