Hualongqiao Riverside Trail

The Hualongqiao section of the Jialing River riverfront renewal project is located on the river’s south bank. It extends 2.9 kilometers from Jiahua Bridge in the east to Hongyancun Bridge in the west and covers an improvement area of 310,500 square meters. The project includes ecological restoration of the river’s seasonally exposed shoreline, improvements to riverbank slopes, upgrades to cycling paths and leisure trails, enhancements to waterfront platforms and public squares, and the construction of a new pedestrian overpass.
The overpass is located at the intersection of Changhe Road and Jiabin Road. It is 77.8 meters long and 4.8 meters wide. Its curved design blends naturally into the surrounding landscape. On the inland side, the overpass connects directly with Changhe Park and provides step-free access to the park’s trail system. On the river-facing side, it connects with the sidewalk along Jiabin Road and the stairway leading down to the riverfront park. From the overpass, visitors can enjoy views of the International Land-Sea Center. The new connection also brings the inland and riverfront parks closer together and makes the Hualongqiao riverfront more accessible to nearby residents.
